Waiheke Island offers a number of world class vineyard restaurants, many of which have spectacular coastal views and vineyard vistas. Views that are the perfect amalgamation of Santorini and Tuscany.
There are eighteen (18) wineries on Waiheke, most of which we can arrange visitation to. Where a vineyard has a restaurant, most of which are famed for using the every best New Zealand cuisine we can arrange seating for you and your group, for either lunch or dinner.
With Waiheke producing some of the world’s best aromatic and red, tastings and tours are available to suit your itinerary. You may like to do it by self or be accompanied by an experienced guides, who are all intimately familiar with Waiheke’s history, culture, people and produce (and great wine enthusiasts themselves).
Time permitting, why not enjoy a visit an award-winning olive oil mill, a range of gourmet tastes that may include oysters straight from Te Matuku Bay, wild honey, the famous local green herb spread and artisan cheeses. On Saturdays, your tour may also include a visit to the Waiheke Market.

Join us for a weekend of delicious food, fantastic wines and unique experiences with Waiheke’s own treasured food expert Julie Biuso. Throughout the weekend you’ll be based our luxurious Te Whau Lodge, where you will enjoy the best panoramic views on Waiheke and uncompromising service from our team. Julie Biuso has prepared a personalised experience encompassing the options of a private small group dinner menu, cooking lessons and the opportunity to explore Waiheke’s hidden food lovers secrets.
The Foodie Experience Weekend Encompasses:
- 2 nights’ accommodation for 2 people in your luxury suite, with your own private balcony to enjoy the spectacular views
- Pick up from and drop off to your ferry

9.00am Leisurely light breakfast at Te Whau Lodge
11.00am Depart Te Whau Lodge for Rangihoua Olive Estate
11.10am Enjoy a tutoured olive oil tasting of 2016 international medal winners and freshly pressed 2017 oils
11.40am Depart for Poderi Crisci.
Arrive Poderi Crisci 12.00 midday, view gardens, and enjoy a tasting of Poderi Crisci wines in the Cellar, then go on to their newly opened antipasto bar La Locanda for a delicious sampling of Italian specialties and dishes of the day
1.15pm Depart Poderi Crisci for Rocky Bay
1.30pm Arrive at Julie Biuso’s Waiheke hideaway in Rocky Bay and enjoy a 2-hour cooking class with Julie. The class will include a tasting of Waiheke honeys and artisan breads, and a full tasting of all dishes demonstrated, forming a delicious late lunch.
4.00pm Return to Te Whau Lodge to freshen up
6.00pm Canapes served in the dining room at Te Whau Lodge. Remainder of evening free to enjoy the ambience of the Lodge, or a dinner reservation can be made for you at Te Motu restaurant for an evening meal.
